Deberg Concrete Keith Hutton Memorial King of the Hill Max Announced!

(Bill W) July 6, 2017 – The $20,000 to win Price Chopper Front Row Challenge presented by Musco Lighting and Don Long’s Searsboro Telephone Company has been known for its innovations over the years. 2017 will mark yet another twist as the DeBerg Concrete Keith Hutton Memorial King of the Hill Max is announced!

The King of the Hill match races will take on a new look in the FRC, held Monday, August 7 at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa. A point system similar to that of the Knoxville Nationals will be used throughout the night. The top eight point getters through time trials and heat races will be eligible for the DeBerg Concrete Keith Hutton Memorial King of the Hill Max!

How it Works

The four cars in positions 1, 3, 5 and 7 in points will face off, as will cars in positions 2, 4, 6 and 8. Yes, four cars will go at it for two laps! The top two finishers in each event will face off in the finale worth $1,000 from DeBerg Concrete!

The winner of the finale will start on the pole, with second place behind them, and so on. In addition to the winner’s share of $1,000, each driver finishing in the second through eighth place positions will receive a right rear tire from Hoosier.

“In the past, we’ve had drivers pull off when they didn’t get a good start in their match race,” says promoter Terry McCarl. “By adding two more cars to the race, it will ensure that everyone competes for not only the $1,000 from DeBerg Concrete, but their starting position in the main event as well.”

Cash and contingencies will be a part of all the night’s events. In 2016, heats alone were worth $1,500 in cash and contingencies!
